In the TRNC we can offer emotional and financial support and advice, or direct you to the support facilities in the UK. If you would like to talk through problems or enquire about getting help from the Royal British Legion, please contact us. You may qualify for help even if you have served as little as 7 days, or are a dependent of a member/ex member of the Armed Forces. The RBL spends £1.7 million every week on welfare, helping ex-Service personnel or their families. Our branch membership includes several qualified Caseworkers who have participated in an RBL HQ Caseworker Training Course and an RBL Welfare Course.
As our main remit is to help ex-Service personnel and their families, the Branch Welfare Officer can be contacted at: email@example.com. The email address and telephone number is open to all, no matter how trivial your welfare enquiry may seem. We can offer advice and support about a wide range of topics, including:
- War Pensions
- Benevolent / welfare help
- Benefits and financial advice
- Care homes
- Remembrance travel (pilgrimages)
The British Legion doesn't hold any official records or have access to them. However, we can advise where to get hold of information for tracing purposes. All enquiries are treated in complete confidence. If we are unable to answer your query we will do our best to redirect you to a department who will be able to advise you.

The Kyrenia Branch is one of the newest overseas branches of the Royal British Legion, launched on 1st October, 2011, and we pride ourselves on being a very pro-active British Legion Branch.
With more than 2,700 Branches and over 450,000 Members worldwide, most people are aware of the Royal British Legion and recognise the Poppy brand. We could make a great partner for companies who wish to raise their profile and profits as witnessed with our close association with creditwest bank.
There are numerous ways to get involved, not least with the Poppy Appeal - it can be as simple as making poppies and collection boxes available to your employees, clients and customers. Also providing raffle prizes, auction items and sponsorship are great ways of raising your company's profile, whilst cause related and affinity marketing create opportunities to build profitable partnerships. There may be some ideas that you had not considered before.
